The Grand National Steeplechase Association will host its 123rd race meeting on April 18, 2026. We would like to thank our landowners, horsemen, medical professionals, public services, volunteers, and loyal patrons for their dedication to the Grand National Steeplechase. All communication concerning attendance, race terms and conditions, ticket availability, etc., will be posted on the race website and is subject to change at the sole discretion of the Race Committee. We hope to see you in Butler on the second-to-last Saturday in April!

Race Day FAQs

  • Ticket Delivery: Passes for the Grand National are fully digital, including for those race patrons who elect to pay by cash / check. Digital passes purchased by cash / check will be emailed to the address provided on the ticket invoice beginning April 1, 2026; no cash / check payments will be accepted after April 3, 2026. Passes purchased online will be delivered at time of purchase from Grand National Steeplechase Association, Inc. Passes for the Benefactor and Railside parking areas are reserved by name, with corresponding parking placards on race day. Please check your email carefully BEFORE contacting the race meet if you believe that you have not received your pass(es).

  • Paddock Entry: Paddock entry is limited to those patrons who purchase Paddock, Railside, or Benefactor tickets, as well as horsemen (owners, trainers, jockeys, and grooms), race officials, and landowners and their guests given crowd constraints and recommendations from attending medical personnel concerning the safety of race participants and patrons. We thank you for your understanding.

  • Tailgate Contest: The Grand National Tailgate Contest is on for 2026! Pack your picnic basket and shine your silver for the chance to win a 2027 Grand National Railside pass and a prize basket sponsored by Lindsay’s Southside. Our judges look forward to seeing your upcountry best!

  • Uber / Lyft / Taxi Policy: Entry to the event via Uber, Lyft, taxi, or any other commercial vehicle is prohibited. The racecourse entrance at 2838 Butler Road is the only place of ingress / egress available; as such, ride sharing services cause traffic issues for those patrons who have purchased parking passes. Those persons attempting to access the event using a ride sharing service will be turned away by security.
  • Tickets vs. Parking Passes: Purchase of a Grand National parking pass allows entrance to the racecourse for all persons in the vehicle. There are no individual tickets. Please note that no box / panel trucks, buses, campers, commercial vehicles (including ride sharing services) or farm vehicles will be permitted entry into the racecourse.
  • Pets: Pets are strictly prohibited. Those vehicles with pets inside will not be permitted entry. Any person caught with a pet on the racecourse premises will be asked to leave immediately.
